Our lives as avian americans

My name is Brianna Soarrell and my little sister's name is Riley. Our parents used to be part of a corporation know as ITEX. My mom volunteered to be part of the experiment. Being a devoted wife to science, she would have her children be hybrid. She let them take her and her husband's reproduction cells create an embreyo that had bird genes in them. Basicaly, they took the egg and sperm, fertilized it in a test tube while adding chemicals that would splice certain parts of our DNA.
We used to live in the school. I was lucky enough to not have to live in a dog crate. But, that was almost ten years ago. After Riley was born, my parents took us out of there. They moved as far aways as possible and changed their last names. I don't remember my old last name, but it's Soarrell now.
They let us keep our wings and sent us to normal schools. We moved a lot, when ever things got supspicious. I really love my parents. I forgive them for being part of the experiements, all the testing I had to go through. I'm glad that Riley didn't have to go through all of what I've gone through in the school. She only spent a week there.
We understand there are other mutants out there, so we'd like to help. We take our wings and abilities as gift and live with them.
